Cecile was born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba on October 27, 1925 and resided in the general area all her life. She met Ernie and they were married on December 27, 1950. They lived and farmed in and around the Prairie Grove and Lorette area. Although Cecile worked briefly at Felix’s store where she met her beloved Ernie, she most loved being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Anyone who ever visited her at their home on the farm was treated to coffee, dainties, even a full course meal, and if you were really fortunate, you got a taste of her legendary cheesecake.
All her family and friends loved her dearly and will miss her very much. A Celebration of Cecile’s Life was held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. Viewing prior to service with interment to follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Justin, Dezi, Chase and Lee, along with her God son Ronald Renaud, nephew Andre Berard, and her niece’s son Jeff Fennel.
In our hearts forever, Amen.

We did not know that morning
What sorrow the day would bring,
The bitter grief and shock severe
To part with the one we love so dear.
You bid no one a last farewell
Gave no chance to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
Only God knows why.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
Though your smile is hidden now
And your hand we cannot touch,
We will never lose the memory,
Of the one we loved so much.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You were always there
When we needed you."
No task too great or small
With a loving heart
And a willing hand
For us you did them all.
Thanks for the years you gave us,
And for the precious times we shared,
We only pray that when you left us
Yiou knew how much we cared.
God saw you getting tired.
When a cure was not to be,
He put His arms around you
And said, "Come unto Me."
FOREVER IN OUR MEMORIES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As children,
we can't comprehend
or fully realize
The meaning of our mother's love,
how tender and how wise,
The patience and forgiveness
that are part of every day,
The unexpected "little things"
she does in her own way.
Years go by before we can
look back on life and see
Through older eyes and wiser hearts
her love and loyalty,
And yet it's these and ither special things
we'll hold so dear,
For memories of her steadfast love
will keep ever near.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May the road you travel rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warn upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May you rest safely in the palm of God's hand.
Her Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of her as gone away-
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets-
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost-
and she was loved so much.
