Craig Allan Gumieny left us heartbroken on March 21, 22 at 50 years of age. He is survived by his family, parents Helene and Henry Gumieny of St. Adolphe, Manitoba; brother Darrell Gumieny (Louise Bissonnette) of Ottawa, Ontario; Craig’s kids, Brynna and Wyatt, also of St. Adolphe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Craig lived a full life. He was a rambunctious child, always with his friends and getting into things, he was mischievous young lad, but he enjoyed his childhood and we enjoyed watching him grow up. As he became a man, Craig was always on the go, busy with his career, busy with his home, he loved to be around people and people loved to be around him. He was generous with his time and loved to help people out, especially when his Dad was with him. He also loved spending time with his Mom, talking and confiding in her, sharing his joy and problems with her. Craig was a great brother, he was forever joking around and his sense of humour is legendary. His silly little quips will be so missed.
Second to family came Craig’s love of playing sports, with curling and softball being his passions. It helped that he was very good at both sports.
Craig was a great man, an amazing friend, the best brother, an amazing son and he loved his children.
Craig, we love you with all of our hearts and we can hardly wait to hug you again. Soon enough.
“Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that’s how I will remember you all. If you remember me with tears and sorrow, then don’t remember me at all.”
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenacresfuneralhome.com for the Gumieny family.
