Darlene Janice Leech

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Darlene on September 25, 2021.

She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Anne Hunnie, brother Kenneth, and sister Joanne Tinsley. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 43 years, Randy; sister Margaret (Bill), brother Murray (Diane), sisters-in-law Karen (Ted), Tannis (John), brother-in-law Jeff (Trish) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Darlene was born in Winnipeg, attended Glenlawn Collegiate, and worked for the City of Winnipeg for 33 years until her retirement.

Darlene had a passion for music, reading, gardening and a love of Christmas. She also enjoyed travelling, family gatherings, casino trips and the outdoors (especially wildlife). Darlene loved weekends and holidays at the family cottage at Falcon Lake, spending time with family and friends, boating, fishing, snowmobiling and enjoying the tranquility of the lake.

We would like to thank the staff of Simkin Centre for their compassionate care and support. We will be forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
