It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Craigie after a lengthy illness with family by her side on November 26, 2019 at the age of 83 years at Vista Park Lodge.
She was predeceased by her parents, James & Jessie Pirie, son Dougie, and grandson Clinton. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Doug Craigie; her children, Ginny, Cliff, Sandy (Kerry), Clay, Tammy (Bryce); grandchildren, Connie, Roland (Sarah), Shane, Sammy-Jo, Skylar, Ashtin, Teagan, Caedance; great-grandchildren, Jack, Trinity and Isaac.
Donna loved and lived for her family. Donna was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.
In her early years she could often be found on the hockey rink or baseball diamond as she was always active and of course, feisty!
She loved her home that her husband Doug of 65 years, designed and built including the beautiful back yard where she spent countless hours gardening.
Donna enjoyed weekend camping trips with her family and friends, and a nice drink with her Saturday night steak!
If you lived in St. Vital you may have known Donna as the Avon lady, or maybe by her famous perogies! Donna could also be seen riding her bike down Hindley Avenue!
In her last few years she became our little “Mighty Mouse”, never giving up. Then our “Unsinkable Molly Brown” because of all she had endured.
Donna loved her family. Loved her friends, and always had an open door in which she became a “Mom” to many!
We Love you Mom! We miss you! You will forever been in our hearts!
The funeral service for Donna will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
