1921 - 2014
It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Ernest Schindel, aged 93 years, of Ste. Anne, Manitoba on Sunday, November 30, 2014.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Matilda (Tillie); son’s Dennis (Shirley), Ken (Echo); brother Thomas (Adeline); and sister Rita; and two grand-children Heather and Jeffrey (Kaitlynn).
He was predeceased by his parents Christian and Katharina Schindel; brother’s Roy, Benjamin, Clarence; sister’s Ruth, Blanche and Cecilia.
Ernest farmed in Ste. Anne from 1947 until his retirement. He had a love for the land and his farm equipment. The family would like to thank Dr. Lemoine and all the staff at VILLA Youville Nursing home. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Soeur Irene and Soeur Celine.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at 2:00pm at Green Acres Funeral Home, #1 Hwy East at Navin Road. Viewing will be held 30 minutes prior to the funeral.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to Villa Youville Nursing Home.
