Lina Gagnon (Laurin) nee Rocan

Peacefully with her family at her side Lina passed away at home, as were her wishes, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 88 years.

She will be greatly missed by her children Jeannine (Harry), Rachelle (Stephen), Real (Paulette), Jean (Lucile), Aline (Robert), Dominique, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and their partners.

She is survived by her sister Louise and brother Louis.

Lina was born and raised on the farm in LaBroquerie, MB one of 11 children. She moved to Winnipeg to start her married life. Her fondest memories were made working at St. Mary's Academy with the Grey Nuns where she made lifetime friendships. Lina was very loving, spiritual and compassionate. Her family was the most important part of her life and she was the happiest when surrounded by them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought the biggest smile to her face and a sparkle to her eyes. We will remember forever her hugs and words as any of us left the house "I love you and I am proud of you".

Thank you for being our Mom. We will miss you so much.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Church at 820 Cottonwood Road.
