Mom was born in St.Elizabeth MB. She left school at the age of 14 to help her ailing mother on the farm. She left home at age 18 to work in Winnipeg and in Banff with her sister Rita. She was a devoted daughter and never neglected her duties in taking care of them in whatever way she could, buying what they needed to make their life easier.
Mom married the love of her life Peter Reimer on September 22, 1949. Together they had seven children .Our dad passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 1965. At the age of 41 Mom was left to raise their children alone, an enormous task. Once again Mom carried out her duties in taking care of us, our home, and working in a capacity that stunned and amazed most people. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t and didn’t do, and always provided us with the best.
Mom was a very strong person and devoted to her faith. Throughout her life she was dealt a number of hard blows that weren’t easy for her to overcome. She had amazing courage that was undaunting.
Mom spent the last eight years of her life at Riverwood Square, and Foyer Valade. She was continuously surrounded by her family. We felt a debt of love and gratitude that could not be repaid.
