Bob grew up with his sister, Betty. They were not only twins but friends. Betty would often remind Bob that she was smarter because she was born first. They were raised by wonderful parents Polly and Oscar that were the heart of our family. Bob spent a lot of time with his parents, and not just because of Polly's amazing perogies and cabbage rolls!
Bob retired from CPR after 40 years of work. This gave him more time to spend with his wife, Marge, with whom he would have celebrated his 50th year anniversary on June 28.
Bob had 3 daughters Laura, Bonnie and Lisa. He was very proud of them and his grandchildren.
Everybody knew Bob. He had a habit of showing up everywhere at any time just to say hi or have a beer.
Dad would still show up at Lisa's ringette, baseball, hockey or spongee games and random holes on the golf course...even when she was an adult.
Yes, he would still give pointers on how to play better! His advise would always be welcomed as he was a fantastic hockey player in his day and he definitely knew his way around a golf course.
As we all know, Bob loved golf. His Saturdays and Sundays would be spent playing anywhere from 36-54 holes. We found hundreds of tees in his golf bag and unclaimed golf balls.
Bob loved his wife, daughters, grandchildren and extended family and enjoyed giving his time to them.
His friends have been as important to him as family.
To celebrate his love for friends, family and golf, ...we will organize a golf day in September. At this time, a toast to his life will be made!
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenacresfuneralhome.com for the Huppe family.
