Mr. Roland Andre Joseph Sabourin

September 27, 1926 - December 5, 2010

It is with great sadness and deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Roland will be sadly missed by his wife Gloria, children Denise(Doug), Yvonne, Louise, Monique(Harry) & Nicole(Randy), his only surviving sister Jeannette, and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Roland married the love of his life, Gloria Johnson on November 26, 1949 and recently celebrated their 61st anniversary. Dad worked in the family Insurance and Travel business, Maurice E. Sabourin Ltd, started by his father in the early 1900's until he retired March 31, 1999. He also operated a small engine repair shop (St. Vital Cycle) where he loved working on lawnmowers and motorcycles. He loved taking his family to Bird Lake to go fishing, skiing, swimming. His other passions were riding his motorcycle, flying an airplane and gardening.

He was a loving, gentle and generous man, always available to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd, Fri. Dec.10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Special thank-you to the staff of Victoria General Hospital and the 4th floor staff at Poseidon.
