Following a brief illness, with sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Kirkland at the age of 87 years at the St. Boniface Hospital on June 27, 2013, with her family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jim Kirkland(Debbie), Les Kirkland(Leanne), Alison Kirkland; grandchildren Sheena(Jordan), Tara, Kelsey, Jaime; nieces Judy, Lois, Elaine, Lorraine, Barbara, Janice, Valerie, Linda, Bonnie, Karen, and nephew Bill, and special friend Ken.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Lydia, her husband James, sister Selma, and brothers Wilfred, Victor and Allan.
Funeral services will take place at Green Acres Funeral Home, #1 Hwy East at Navin Road, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Thanks to the doctors and the nursing staff on the 7th Floor South of St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
