After years of ill health, Stella has passed away on October 13th, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, at the age of 81. Stella is survived by her granddaughter Destiny and her mother Kendra and sister Amanda; brother Ben as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nick (2009), sons Mark (2015) and Grant (1988) and sisters Olga and Anne. Stella was born in Rorketon, MB and moved to Winnipeg as a teen to seek opportunity. She proudly retired from an administrative position at the Health Sciences Centre. She spent her years after retirement helping to raise her granddaughter and vacationing at her cabin on Lake Manitoba. As a young woman, Stella had an amazing drive to accomplish the things in life that she strived for. In her later years, her passions were caring for her family, cooking and reading mystery novels. She was a generous, loving woman who cared for her family above all else. She will be greatly missed. Her resting place will be Green Acres Cemetery with her husband and sons.
