Thomas Frank Schindel

On December 20, 2023 at the St. Claude Personal Care Home St. Claude, Manitoba Thomas F Schindel passed away at the age of 92 years.

He was predeceased by his parents Christian and Katharina Schindel, daughter Sandra Schindel, brothers Roy, Benjamin, Ernest and Clarence, sisters Rita, Ruth, Blanche and Cecilia, in Laws Walter and Mary Turski, brother in laws Joseph, Philip and Edward.

Thomas in be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Adeline, his sons Jeffrey Thomas and Thomas Franklin jr (Christine), grandchildren Daniel (Michelle), Kaley (Jay) and Kristen (Tony), and great grandchildren Gabrielle, Chloé, Erin and Luke. Also to cherish his memory are his many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was born at Glenlea, Manitoba and he worked on the family farm, which he started working with horses. He met and married Adeline his life partner for 73 years, farming the original homestead until 1966 when they had to move from the floodwaters of the Red River to start a new home in Glenlea. Thomas loved to farm the land and usually had the latest machinery, but loved combines the most, which he operated until he was 81 years of age, with his son and grandson working alongside him.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The family would like to thank the Staff at the St. Claude Personal Care Home for their care given to Thomas.
