

James Elbert Keyhill, age 86, of Needles, California., passed away May 03, 2013 at his home. He was born May 20, 1926, to the late James Elbert Keyhill SR. and Essie ( Branch) Keyhill. James and Essie had ten children, with James Elbert being the eldest of the original ten. Also, preceded in death was his wife Mary Jane Ingle Keyhill; three brothers and one sister: William Joseph Keyhill. John Robert Keyhill, Peggy Jane Baker, and Mary Anne Neal.
James is survived by: sister Betty Higgins and her son Steven, Lois Powell and her son Larry, Sue Ellen Duffy and step-children, Barbara Jean Evans, her husband David and children Kimberly and Christopher.
James is, also survived by his two daughters Deborah (William) Human of St. Louis, MO and Leslie (Robert) Wudel of Farmington, MO. Along with his two daughters, he is survived by three loving grandchildren ( Jeremiah Wudel, Chloe Human and Sarah Human), and a large collection of nieces and nephews from his original ten siblings: Terry and Patty, Essie, Mike Neal, Mark Neal, Lee Neal, and Linda Neal; Christopher Evans and Kimberly Evans, Mike Keyhill, Jeff Ingle, Wendy Ingle and Angela Keyhill, Patrick Shannon Keyhill and Darryell Keyhill.
James serviced in the Navy during the Second World War and was a member of his local VFW. He shared many memorable moments of his time in service with both family and friends. He was also, an avid camper, desert explorer, community member and friend to many.
