Alexandra Gretchen “Ally” Knable 23 years of age, of Midlothian, Virgina, went to heaven October 20, 2018. Ally was a loving daughter and a loyal friend. She was a student at John Tyler Community College where she was pursuing a degree in marketing. She took immense joy in helping others and was quick to give a smile. Ally loved to cook and often helped her parents prepare special meals. She loved her family fiercely and had dreams of working to help victims of domestic violence. Ally is survived by her loving parents, William and Christine (Bragg) Knable of Midlothian, Grandparents, William and Dickie (Lee) Knable of Lafayette, IN, Alma (Marlow) Bragg , Michael and Susie Schmitt of Louisville, KY and great-grandmother, Bea Lee of New Albany, IN, aunt, Kelly (Tom) Jones, Lafayette, IN, uncles, Patrick (Kristen) Knable of Lafayette, IN, Matthew (Deborah) Knable of Knoxville, TN and Steven (Tonya) Bragg of Harrodsburg, KY plus many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Cordell Bragg and beloved great-grandparents. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana. Private burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, New Albany, Indiana. Family requests expressions of sympathy in the form of contributions to her favorite organizations, such as the Humane Society or any victims’ advocacy groups. Kraft Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
