Anthony J. “Tony Bologna” Walter, 94 years of age passed on April 13, 2019. He was born on July 25, 1924 in Lanesville, Indiana to the late Conrad and Catherine Walter. Tony was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp and retired from the old South Central Bell. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Communication Workers of America, 307th Bomb Group Association, VFW Post #3281, American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28, and Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Jennings and Margaret Grace; 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with military honor. A private entombment will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
