Arthur "Doc" Ray Burgin Sr.

Arthur "Doc" Ray Burgin Sr., age 79, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born on July 10, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Raymond Burgin and Josephine Tharp Lanham. He was retired from Walnut Ridge Nursery and love the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Flora Burgin; a brother, Ronald Burgin; a granddaughter, Brittany Vaughn; and two great grandsons, Cadan and Christian Bryant.

Doc is survived by three children, Karen Spinks (James), Marketta Tingle (Jeff) and Art Burgin (Christi); grandchildren, Carrie Denton (Aaron), Tonya Bryant (Scott), Patricia Sparkman (Eric), Michael Hines (Ricki), Chasity Burgin (John) and Tori Burgin; great grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Hannah, Caleb, Jazlynn, Noah, Rae Rae, Miss. Willow and Hudson; siblings, Bonnie Dell and Henry Burgin (Kathy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Doc will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with entombment at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
