Carl W. Attwood, Jr.

Carl W. Attwood, Jr., 86 years of age passed away on January 4, 2022. He was born February 6, 1935 in Crawford County to the late Carl Attwood Sr. and Adeline Armstrong. Carl was a retired superintendent from Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany after over 35 years of service. He was a Catholic by faith, he was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on cars, and lawn mowers. He loved to camp, fish and spending time with his friends and family playing all types of card games. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Attwood, son, Michael Attwood, grandson, Carl “Corky” Attwood IV, and daughter-in-law, Mary Christina Attwood.

Survivors include his sister, Sandra Jenkins, children, Carl W. Attwood III (Theresa), Richard C. Attwood (Sherry), Gregory D. Attwood, Lashelle Small, and Sheena D. Attwood-Pittman, grandchildren, Harvey, Robert, Karisha, Brittany, Gregory Jr., Ashley, Matthew, Zachary, Aiden, and Sarah, and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Monday in the Kraft Funeral Chapel with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
