

Carol Elaine (Hicks) Jackson entered eternal life on August 21, 2024. She was born on December 24, 1953, in Kinder, Louisiana, to the late Leonard and Betty Hicks. On April 25, 1970, Carol would marry the love of her life, Franklin Truman Jackson.
Carol was an exceptional wife and mother, devoted to her family and home. She was a florist with a remarkable talent for creative and industrious DIY projects.
Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by a brother, Len Hicks.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Truman Jackson; children, Amelia Siler and her husband, James Siler, Cheryl Matty and her husband, Scott Matty, Rebecca Murray and her husband, Tim Murray, and Ryan Jackson; grandchildren, Lauren Roush (Austin), Allison Wenger (Christopher), Mia Siler, Ty Siler, Riley Murray, Grant Matty, Gabrielle Matty, and Titus Murray; great-grandchildren, Hattie Wenger, Michael Roush, Jeremiah Wenger, Elaina Jo Roush, Myla Wenger, and Caleb Wenger; sister, Vicki Ward of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; brothers, Glen Hicks of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Stephen Hicks of Royal, Arkansas, and Danny Hicks of Vail, Arizona.
A visitation for Carol will be held on August 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held on August 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church Of The Open Door, 1221 Silver Street in New Albany, Indiana.
Carol will be laid to rest in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
