Carol Kay Neeld, 85, passed away on October 30, 2025. Kay was born on June 25, 1940, in San Diego, California, to the late Merle James Verick and Virginia Mae (Foster) Verick. Kay was a New Albany High School graduate and had a long and rewarding career with L&N/CSX Railroad. Her career with the railroad took her to Atlantic Beach, Florida. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, loving her grandchildren, and canvas painting.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Merle James Verick Jr.
Carol is survived by her son, Todd (Angela) Neeld; her grandchildren, Ashley Kay Neeld and Alex Neeld; her step-grandchildren, Jocelyn Tincher, Jennah Tincher, and Kyle Tincher; and her loving step-great-granddaughter, Iris.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately with her family at a later date.
