

Doris J. (Brumleve) Thieneman, 84, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her home in New Albany surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 18, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Theodore and Henrietta “Etta” (Wernert) Brumleve. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Francis “Frank” Thieneman, Sr., granddaughter, Mary Amelia McIntire, great grandson, Gaven Thieneman, and siblings, Bernard Brumleve, Mary Kimble, and Ruth Guenther. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, a proud Kentucky Colonel, an avid bowler and Cincinnati Reds fan, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Frank X. Thieneman, Jr. (Reah), Tony Thieneman, Kevin Thieneman (Stefanie), Patty Slinker, Pam McIntire (Louis), Karen Julius (Doug) and Carol Hurst (Cary); sisters-in-law, Joyce Brumleve and JoAnn Thieneman; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; 1 step-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. There will be a Rosary Service at 3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
