George Raymond Riggs, age 82, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. George was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 10, 1942 to the late Leon Leomar Riggs. He graduated from Larue County High School and retired from General Electric. George was a member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene in New Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Riggs; sons, Robert Riggs (Shana), Danny Riggs; step-daughter, Donna Kost (Denny); and 6 grandchildren.
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service.
George will be laid to rest in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
