Can't believe it has almost been a year since you passed JIm! As we enter into the fourth of July holiday week we will have you on our hearts knowing July 4th was your last celebration on earth. We'll be remembering you with Randy, Jessica and Bessie at Sugar Lake. Hope you are shooting off fireworks in Heaven!

Jim was a dear childhood friend. We were in baseball together, shop classes, academic classes, explorer scouts. We enjoyed  countless weekends on Sugar Lake and Clearwater Lake together. Started meeting girls together, came of age together. At times, I felt like one of the Christensen kids. John and Jean were always very warm and dear to me. 

I regret falling out of touch after time and distance were between us. I just learned about Jim's passing this evening.

I graduated from Eisenhower High School with Jim.  I remember him most vividly from junior high though when he so willingly helped me survive the shop classes we had to take.  He was such a kind-hearted person.  My prayers are with all of his family as they walk their grief journey.

I am basically new in the family. I always heard the great achievements of Jim. It is a big lost for ACT and the scientific community. He are in my thoughts and prayers.

Janet, Judy & family, so sorry for your loss.  Too young, and too much too close together for one family.   You are in my thoughts and prayers. I still think of "Jimmy" as the little kid with all the energy.  Take pride & peace with all he has accomplished.  Anita

I am so sorry...I can't imagine what you guys are going through.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Jim and I had a lot of fun times together and I am a better person for having know him!  I didn't get to keep in touch with him through the years, but my heart feels his absence from this earth right now, because of the time we did spend together, and I miss him already...I am glad he is no longer suffering though, and I know, he is with our Father in heaven and is looking down upon us....

Jim was a great resource for me during my days at ACT. Always willing to lend a hand and take on the most difficult of tasks. My families thoughts are with him and his family.

Jim was a great friend and colleague at UCB.  I am speechless to hear the sad news.  My deepest sympathies to all family members and especially Bessy.

Jim was a great inspiration to me as a friend, colleague and mentor.  I will miss his sage advice and wonderfully sardonic sense of humor.  Lou and I send our thoughts and best wishes to his family and friends during this time of sadness.

Our lives were enriched by having worked with Jim. He continues to participate in every project we make. We will never forget him. With sincere sympathy,
