James "Jim" Kost

James “Jim” Kost, 59 years of age passed away on June 6, 2019. He was born on June 26, 1959 in New Albany to the late Joseph and Lula (Pullen) Kost. Jim was employed with Infinity Homes and was a member of Northside Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was the bass player for the J.D. Black Band. Survivors include his former wife, Cheryl Kost; children, Jennifer Floyd, Patrick Bowman, James Phillip Kost, II, Sara Kost; sister, Jodie Kost; brother, Larry McCoy (Ruby); grandchildren, Victoria Floyd, Elizabeth Floyd, Sofia Floyd; beloved dog, Hawk. Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
