Janet L. Kestner Taylor

Janet L. “Jan” (Kestner) Taylor, 67 years of age died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born July 17, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Jacob H. and Betty J. (Kraft) Kestner. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She was a great friend to everyone that she met. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol A. Lang and brother, Clifford H. Kestner.

Survivors include:

Husband of 48 years: John E. Taylor, Sr.

Children: Jennifer S. Ledbetter and her husband Alan New Albany

John E. Taylor, II Jeffersonville

Grandchildren: John E. “J.T.” Taylor, III

Jaxon H. Taylor

Shane T. Ledbetter

Great Granddaughter: Makenna J. Taylor

Numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends

The family wishes to thank Dr. Beasley for the compassionate and loving care that she gave to Jan and also the New Albany DaVita Dialysis staff for the care given to Jan for over 5 years.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests memorial contributions go to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
