Jerry Wayne Byrd, 54 years of age died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Robert E. Lee Retirement Home in New Albany. Jerry was born September 23, 1956 in New Albany to the late Arthur S. and Evelyn B. (Mader) Byrd. Jerry was an Army veteran and a former employee of the New Albany Street Department. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Byrd.
Survivors include his sons, Doug Byrd (Kristi), Phillip Byrd, Troy Byrd; siblings, Darlene Attwood, Stephen Byrd, Larry Byrd, Faye Jenkins, Dennis Byrd, Bobbi Heavrin; grandchildren, Ava, Brage, Taylor, and Gavin Byrd
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana with cremation to follow. Online condolences may be made at www.kraftfuneralservice.net.
