John Marvin Elsler Jr.

JOHN MARVIN ELSLER, JR., 71 years of age, died Friday, July 2, 2010 in his home with his family by his side. John retired from Kirk & Blum Manufacturing Co. in Louisville, Ky. after nearly 39 years, and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #110 in Louisville. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Shirley A. (Turner) Elsler of Lanesville IN; sons, John M. Elsler, III (fiancé Sue Graham) of Corydon IN and Curtis Elsler (Linda) of Corydon IN; mother, Leona (Mohr) Elsler of Louisville KY; sisters, Mary McGenty of Louisville KY and Pat Peyton of Georgetown IN; brothers, Robert Elsler of Clarksville IN and Doug Elsler of New Albany IN; grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Adrien and Jodi Elsler; and great grandchildren, Trae, Terrence “TJ” and Ashlyn.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Marvin Elsler, Sr.

Visitation will be from 11 am ~ 6:00 pm Monday, July 5, 2010 and after 9:00 am Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Chapel with private entombment in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
