Dr. Joseph Allen Bruckman, age 88 passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born in Hart, Michigan on May 24, 1935 to the late Clarence and Henriette Bruckman. He was a Colonel in the United States Army. He was a 1960 graduate of the University of Michigan. (Go Blue) Dr. Bruckman was a Urologist in Southern Indiana for many years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Floyd County Medical Society and was a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Dr. Bruckman is survived by his loving wife, Billie Bruckman; three children, Christopher Bruckman (Cherie), Kathleen Clark (Mark) and Deborah Bruckman (Chris); two grandchildren, Christine Clark Sims (Brad) and Nathan Clark (Megan); two step-grandchildren, Stephanie Smith (Steven) and Josh White; three step great grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Samantha Smith and Lillian Smith.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
