Joe was born on March 19, 1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a lighthearted and loyal man whose sense of humor, sarcasm, and mischievous spirit made him unforgettable. He worked many jobs over the years, but none gave him more joy than being a dad.
Joe enjoyed building model cars, working on puzzle books, watching crime shows and Hawaii Five-0, cheering for NASCAR, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He had a special love for cats and a soft spot for life’s simple pleasures.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Hastings; his mother, Malinda Hart; his father, Michael Hastings; his siblings, Sherry Miyahara, Jonathan Hastings, and Julie Lovins; and his nieces, Maddie and Lexi Miyahara.
Joe’s bubbly personality, big laugh, and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial visitation will be conducted Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
