KENNETH DALE SIDEBOTTOM, 68, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The son of the late Kenneth Joseph and Hallie May (Davis) Sidebottom, Dale was born May 18, 1946 in Beech Grove, Indiana. He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, a Mason, member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church, and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, both in New Albany. Dale was a man of many talents. He was a musician and a writer and wrote songs, plays, and even published a book.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Janet Mayer Sidebottom; children, Angela Sidebottom-Lawhorn and Jonathan Ray Sidebottom; siblings, Philip Leon Sidebottom, Dr. Richard Alan Sidebottom, Bonnie Sue Harris, Donna Marie Page, and Charles Irvin Sidebottom; and grandchildren, Christiansen Lawhorn, Misti Rae Sidebottom, and Billy Ray Sidebottom.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 11:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
