L.D. Young, 84 years of age died Friday, October 18, 2013 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana. He was born June 20, 1929 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to the late George and Jessie Young. L.D. was a retired truck driver with Mercer Trucking Company and was a member of Sunnyside Assembly of God Church. He was veteran of the United States Army and was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty J. Young.
Survivors include his children, Linda Reeve (Denny), Vickie Harris, Tom Webb, Danny Young, Thea Perry (Steve), Lisa Young; brothers, G.C. Young, Hebron Young; grandchildren, Kerri, Twana, Amy, Joe, Daniel, Heather, and Belinda; great grandchildren, Brandy, Trey, Josie, and Kandiss
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am ~ 12:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Monday at the funeral home chapel with entombment and military honors at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
