A proud veteran, Leonard honorably served in G2 section of the United States Army. He dedicated more than 37 years of his career as a manager at Kentucky Manufacturing Company. Leonard was also a devoted member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, where he found great strength in his faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 59 years, Elsie M. Meyers.
Leonard is survived by his sons, David D. Meyers and Phillip ( Mary Ann) L. Meyers; his grandson, Harrison (Megan) Meyers; and sisters, Helen Ruth Schultz and Phyllis Anderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home (2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana). Additional visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. the following morning, Saturday, July 26th, at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
In lieu of Flowers donations in Leonard's memory can be made to American Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
