Leroy Melvin Schoenfeld, age 76, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Leroy was born in Quinter, Kansas on July 10, 1948, to the late Jake and Clara Schoenfeld. He was a 1968 graduate of Oakley High School where he played basketball and ran cross country.
Leroy was a loving husband, father, and enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was a dedicated employee at Henry Vogt Machine Co/Millennium Forge for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, horse racing, watching Kansas City Chiefs, U of L Women basketball, and Cincinnati Reds. He was also an active member of Grace Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Leo Edward Schoenfeld.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy; two children, Randa Devine (Jimmy) and Russell Schoenfeld (Tammy); grandchildren, Shawna Dyke, Kayla Stack, Jess Hall, Chelsea Neeley and Brianna Schoenfeld; siblings, Angie Mindrup, Robert Schoenfeld, Mary Olson and Jerry Schoenfeld.
Memorial visitation for Leroy will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with his memorial service beginning at 11:30. Burial will be at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
