Loretta Catherine (Langsdon) Schweitzer, 83, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. The daughter of the late Eddie and Anna (Wilson) Langsdon, Loretta was born May 23, 1934, in Harrison County, Indiana. She was retired from the United States Postal Service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Derrill Schweitzer.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Stiller (Robert) and Sharon Fredericks (Tony); grandchildren, Deric Stiller and Scott Seese (Jaslyn); and great grandchildren, Coty Borden Stiller and Greyson Seese. Loretta is also survived by her sister, Laura “Sug” Robertson; brother, Wayne Langsdon; Sally Williar (Doug Sellers), who was like another daughter; and her niece and nephew, Jimmy and Maxine Schweitzer.
Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Thursday and after 11 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. A Celebration of Loretta’s Life will be conducted at 1 pm Friday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial following in Rehoboth Cemetery in Laconia, Indiana.
