Margie A. Drake, age 79, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Margie was born in New Albany, Indiana on March 2, 1945 to the late Walter O. and Mary Catherine Erdman. She was a retired Domestic Violence Advocate with The Center for Women and Families and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Her biggest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Bruce Drake of the NAPD; and siblings, Robert, Susan and Sissy.
Margie is survived by four children, David Drake, James Drake (Dori), Christopher Drake (Charity) and Beth Drake (Stan); grandchildren, Cheyanne, Morganne, Kaitlynn, Elizabeth, McHaila, Sheila, Stanley "Bubby" and Samuel; great grandchildren, Levi, Alistair, Sophia, Kyro and Selena on the way.
Visitation for Margie will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a prayer service at 2:00 PM. Margie will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
