Martha Lois Bratton, age 86, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. Martha was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 10, 1938 to the late Leslie C. Hall and Mabel Pack Hall. She married the love of her life, Ronald Bratton on April 7, 1955 at Peoples Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she also raised her family. She was a faithful Christian serving the Lord in several churches through the years. She loved to sing in the choir and teach bible school. Martha enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, attending gospel quartets, and spending time with her family. Some of the fondest memories are large Sunday family dinners, holiday gatherings and dedicating hours of love and care to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bratton; a granddaughter, Allyia Grace Meyer; and siblings, Jeanie Barnes, William T. Hall, Raymond Hall and Dorothy Larsen.
Martha is survived by four children, Bruce Bratton (Shari), David Bratton, Janene Duffy (Tony) and Tonya Meyer (Victor); grandchildren, Bradley Bratton (Ovie), Cortney Beaver, Aaron Bratton, Lucas Bratton (Kayla), Lindsay Johnson (D.J.), Miranda Weinzapfel (Isaac), Brooklyn Fischer (Daniel), Brayden Meyer, Mariah Meyer, Laiyla Meyer; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Atchley and Linda Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Martha will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
