

Mary Margaret Walter Cambron, 100 years of age died Thursday July 5th, 2012 at Guerin Woods in Georgetown, IN with her family at her side. Mary was born May 20th, 1912 in Harrison County IN. to the late Conrad I. and Katherine E. Tice Walter. She was the widow of George Walter Cambron Sr. who died in 1967 and was a fulltime homemaker, mother and grandmother. In addition she lived a full life of giving, volunteering for many organizations as a caregiver, adult literacy volunteer. She was co-founder of Starlight Senior Citizens, member of St. Joe Hill and Holy Family Senior Citizens, longtime member of St. John the Baptist Church, and was the oldest living Alumnus of Lanesville High School. Mary traveled extensively throughout her later years and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband as well as her daughter Kay Seiler, and three grandchildren Michaela, Tony and Joe Cambron.

Nine Children: George W. Cambron Jr. (Geri), Fred Cambron (Jo), Conrad Cambron, Paul Cambron (Jackie), Pat Cambron (Cindy), Carol Shultz (Steve), Rose Mary Conrad (Jerry), Irene “Renie” Coffman (Jack), Christine Cahill (Pat).
Twenty Grandchildren: George III, Dennis, Theresa, Lavonda, Terri, Erik, Rena, Renee’, Janet, Jack, Nikki, Paul, Jamie, Jeremy, Mary, Myra, Myka, Andrew, Abbey, & Gabriel. Thirty-One Great: Craig, David, Erica, Ryan, Johnny, Joshua, Jeff, Bailey, Valerie, Mary Frances, Ciera, Joey, Cory, Morgan, Nolan, Bethany, Kelsie, Maredith, Hunter, Hayden, Sophia, Kimberly, Sarah, Ellie, Brooklyn, Brieanne, Jaden, Brady, Carson, Benjamin, & Jackson. Five Great-Great: Hailey, Zachary, Halee, Jeremy, & Alliana. Sister: Elizabeth “Babe” Munchhof, and Brother: Anthony “Tony” J. Walter.
Reception of Friends and Family will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday and after 10:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral liturgy will be 1:00 pm Saturday July 7th, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Starlight, IN. with burial in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions to: Multiple Sclerosis Society or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
