Mary Helen Lipps

MARY HELEN (ROUCK) LIPPS, 85, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was a native of New Albany and winter resident of Siesta Key, FL. Mary Helen was a homemaker and former director of Lipps-National Printing Corp. She was a charter member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Siesta Key, FL. Mary Helen was a member of the Exemplar Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Theresa Rouck; and brothers, Norman and James Rouck.

Survivors Include her husband of 64 years, Robert L. Lipps, Sr.; children, Susan Gallo (Peter), Sarah Cicatko (Joe), James R. Lipps and Robert L. “Bobby” Lipps; grandchildren, Lauren Gallo Ziady (Eric), Andrea Gallo, Shelby Lipps Lafrenz (Kyle), Blake Lipps, and Joseph and Caroline Cicatko; great grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsey and Courtney Ziady; niece, Nancy Gilkey; and nephews, Robert Rouck (Grace) and Buddy Rouck.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Mary Helen’s at-home caregivers, Mercy Providence Retirement Home, Floyd Memorial Hospital and Vista Care Hospice, all of whom provided excellent care.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
