Mary Kathleen McHugh

Mary Kathleen "Kathy" McHugh, age 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Kathy was born on October 26, 1948 to the late Aloys and Catherine (Tuell) Landes. She graduated from Sacred Academy and Indiana University. She continued her studies in psychology at

Spalding University. Kathy was employed at Brown-Forman Corporation for 50 years, and most recently worked in the Human Resources IT Department from 1972 until her retirement in January of 2019. Her intelligence was further evidenced by her membership in the MENSA organization.

Family was very important to Kathy, although she was busy with her career and education, her world revolved around her family. She maintained close ties with her three sisters who all lived in different states.

Kathy was a loyal friend to those in her private circle.

A devout Catholic, Kathy attended Mass faithfully at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Her faith was always a constant comfort to her.

Along with her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Landes; maternal grandmother, Alverta Tuell; and her beloved dogs, Squeak and Alex. Kathy will be sorely missed by all.

Kathy is survived by son, Dan(Kim)McHugh Jr.; grandsons, Kellen and Connor; three sisters, Lois Tarzia, Joy Norton, and Mary Moppin; along with former husband and friend Daniel J. McHugh Sr.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4-8pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd. New Albany, IN. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 315 E. Chestnut Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
