Mary Imelda Smith, 73, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at her home. The daughter of the late Roy Edwin and Frances Rose (Redman) Sturgeon, Mary was born February 10, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, George Smith, Sr.; brothers, Roy Sturgeon and Thomas Sturgeon; sister, Rita Sturgeon.
Survivors include her son, George Smith, Jr. (Jackie); siblings, Frances Estella Scott, Mary Rosalie Gatton, Barbara Ann Owens, John William Sturgeon, James Clifford Sturgeon; grandson, Caleb Amick
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
