Michael J. Stark Sr.

Michael J. Stark Sr., 70, of New Albany, Indiana passed away November 11, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born on August 17, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John William and Lucille Bishop Stark. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Paradise Foods. He was a bourbon connoisseur, member of Friends of the Trace and Makers Mark. In addition to his parents, John and Lucille Stark as well as Earl Hack and Rita Hack Curtsinger he is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Thornton. Michael is survived by his wife, Paula Flint Stark; children, Michael Stark Jr., Emily Stark and Lindsay Matthews; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Liam, Ella and Mia Stark and Brecken Matthews; siblings, Jerry (Kathy) Thornton, Bobby (Leta) Hack, Doug Hack, Denise Buskill, Cyndi (Robert) McCullough and Brenda (John) Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Public visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Services will be private but will be livestreamed on Facebook Live at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at www.facebook.com/kraftfuneral. Entombment will follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Floyd County Animal Rescue League.
