N. Jean Allen

N. Jean Allen, 85, passed away April 1, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1935 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Hurna and Eva Cline Rafferty. She was a member of Colgate Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two children, Carol Allen and John H. Allen Jr.; a granddaughter, Jennifer McIntyre; and six siblings. She is survived by her husband, John Henry Allen Sr.; a daughter, Katherine Mayfield; a brother, George Rafferty; a granddaughter, Carrie Short; a grandson, Mitchell Short; six great grandchildren, Jacob Short, Kendall Short, Paxton McIntyre, William Paiz, Jeremiah Paiz and Kaitlyn Paiz; a sister, Alice Brumfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Susan G.
