Neal Edward Collins, 90 years of age died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born October 23, 1925 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Willard and Myrtle Collins. Neal was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired maintenance man from General Electric in Louisville. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Floyds Knobs and was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dee Collins, and brother, Melvin Collins.
Survivors include his son, Garry Collins (Marylyn); brothers, Tom Collins, Bob Collins, Jack Collins; sister, Pat Smith; granddaughter, Cher Hodges (James); great grandchildren, Lexie Hall and Asher Hodges.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
