

Raleigh H. Loughmiller Jr., 84 years of age died Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at Autumn Woods Health Campus. He was born June 14th, 1928 in New Albany, IN. to the late Raleigh H. and Fern Neafus Loughmiller Sr. and lived most of his life in New Albany and Sellersburg IN..
Raleigh was a CWO 4, Chief Warrant Officer with the Indiana Army National Guard for some 39 years until his retirement in 1988 and served proudly with the 1st BN, 151st Infantry in New Albany for his entire career. He was a member of the Sellersburg Buckner Lodge #631 F. & A.M., the Borden Chapter #588 Eastern Star and DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church. Raleigh served his State and Country with distinction and honor. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert Loughmiller.

Daughter: Cynthia “Cindy” Green and husband Roger
Grand-daughter: Alice E. McCulloch and husband Chris
Great-Grand-son: Williem McCulloch
Sister: Shirlee Curl
Brother: John Loughmiller
Also several nieces and nephews.
Reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 9:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday May 9th, 2013 in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with Full Military Honors. Entombment will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at Kraft’s. Expressions of Sympathy may go to: Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the Parkison’s Foundation.
