

Bobby was born on July 15th, 1943, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to the late Albert Schindler and Dorothy (Carpenter) Schindler. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Michael Shane Schindler, his siblings, David Schindler, Alberta Schindler Peay, Henrietta Schindler, Jerome Schindler, and Carl Schindler.
Bobby is survived by his granddaughter, Olivia Schindler of Kentucky; siblings, Joyce Schindler of Indiana, Donnie (Barb) Schindler of Wyoming, Kenny (Sarah) Schindler of Tennessee, Mike (Nancy) Schindler of Indiana, Joe (Joy) Schindler of Indiana, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and best friend Eddie Campbell.
Bobby was one of the founders of the Schindler's Service Center and later co-owner of Harshfield Trucking. He was a lifelong mechanic in all his pursuits, and he had a wealth of knowledge due to his long career.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR and NHRA racing.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A Graveside Service will be held at Saint Mary's of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery, Floyds Knobs, Indiana, on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 10:00 am.
