Ruth A. Donahue, age 78, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Ruth was born in Waukegan, IL on January 5, 1946, to the late Paul and Patsy Mills. She was retired as Director of Nursing for Harrison County Hospital with over 40 years of service to the community. She was a member of Northside Christian Church where she led a bible study. Ruth loved to sew and crochet.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Donahue; a daughter, Patricia Donahue; and three feline companions, Calvin Allen Bud, Maggie Magnolia and Ziggy Donahue.
Ruth is survived by a son, Steve Donahue (Zhanna); grandchildren, Ashley Marie Donahue (Chris), Olivia Grace Donahue and Samuel Allen Donahue; great grandchildren, Olive Judd and Runi Judd; a sister, Laurie Vocaty (Skip); a brother, Michael Jarrod (Nancy); and one grand cat, Tigger "Tater Tot".
Visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with entombment in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
