Ruth E. Wright

RUTH E. WRIGHT, 81, loving wife and mother passed away at her home on May 6, 2011. She was a native of New Albany, a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany, and with her husband, Bud Wright, was the owner of the former Lone Star Pastries and Cakes from 1956 until 1977. Ruth enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching basketball and NASCAR racing, and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Arthur “Bud” Wright, and two sisters, Jane Davidson and Alma Franklin.

Survivors include her three daughters, Pamela Fowler (Hollis) of Jacksonville FL, Linda Gronek (Jeffrey) of Bloomington IN, and

Teresa Wright (Kenneth Moore) of Otisco IN; and one brother, Paul E. Christian of Clarksville IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. The family request expression of sympathy be made to St. Mary’s Church for Mass intentions or to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
