Sandra "Sandy" L. (Taber) Powell

Sandra L. "Sandy" Taber Powell, 86 years of age went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 11, 2025 at Bennett Place in New Albany. Sandy was born on December 23, 1938 in Jefferson Co. KY to the late Adrian and Lillian Dever Taber. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles G. Powell, and sister, Shirley Taber Burnette. She retired from Brown-Williamson Co. in Louisville, Stites & Harbison Legal Firm in Louisville, and Physician's Associates of Floyds Knobs. She was a member of Graceland Church in New Albany.

Sandy is survived by two daughters, Karyn L. Owens of Greenville, IN, Leigh A. Caudill and husband Darin of Mt. Washington, KY; five grandchildren, Brittany M. (David) Holman of Sellersburg, IN, Ryan T. (Nichole) Owens of Floyds Knobs, IN, Morgan R. (Reeder) Donaldson of Louisville, KY, Zachary C. (Annie) Caudill of Georgetown, KY, Jacob K. (Mackenzie) Caudill of Lexington, KY; seven grandchildren, Jessilynn, Colton, and Jaxon Owens, Cailum and Ellie Holman, Thomas and Barrett Donaldson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, located at 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, 47150. The visitation is scheduled for December 15, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on December 16, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue, Kraft Funeral Service, on December 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
