Sherman L Fricke

Sherman L. Fricke, 95 years of age of died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Emeritus Senior Living Community in Apopka, Florida. Sherman was born January 17, 1916 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Lewis) Fricke. He was a longtime resident of New Albany and retired from the old Colgate Palmolive in Jeffersonville after 44 years as a machinist. Sherman was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise (Endris) Fricke.

James L. Fricke Louisville, Kentucky

Sister: Dorothy Fricke Dickson New Jersey

4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St, New Albany. His funeral mass will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The family requests expressions of sympathy go to Providence High School.
