SHIRLEY JEAN YATES, 60 years of age, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown, IN. Shirley was born August 26, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky. She worked at Rivercrossing Independent and Assisted Living in Charlestown. She was preceded in death by her moms, Ella Louise David and Madeline D. Yates; and dad, Harold R. David.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy L. Yates Bartle; father, William R. Yates; grandchildren, Annelise Elizabeth Bartle and Hayden Paul Bartle; sisters, Linda Yates Fugit (Jim), Shari LaVon Huffman (Mike) and Debbie Yates Crone (Darrell); brothers, Carl E. LaVon, G. Michael LaVon (Linda) and Donald Lee David (Becky); and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Sunday and after 11:00 am Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
