Steven B. Pope

Steven B. Pope, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2024. Born to Donald and Venita Pope, Steven lived a life full of love, faith, and adventure.

Steven spent his career dedicated to the Kroger Company, where he worked diligently until his retirement. In his personal life, he was a devoted husband to Peggy Pope and a proud father to his two sons, Adam and Shaun Pope. Steven welcomed Adam's wife, Sarah Pope, and Shaun's wife, Susan Pope, into the family with open arms. His love and guidance extended to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kazz, Dylan, Preston, Kendall, Jack, Jillian, River and Zion.

Steven was not only a family man but also a man of deep faith. He found joy and fulfillment in his spirituality, which guided him throughout his life. An avid hunter, Steven had a profound appreciation for the great outdoors and the thrill of the hunt, a passion he often shared with his loved ones.

Steven is survived by his wife, Peggy; his sons, Adam and Shaun; his daughters-in-law, Sarah and Susan; his grandchildren, Kazz Pope, Dylan Pope, Preston (Felicia) Bates, Kendall Bates, Jillian Reed and Jack Reed; great grandchildren, River and Zion and his brother, Gary (Theresa) Pope. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Steven's life was a testament to living fully and faithfully, and he will be deeply missed.

Family and friends will gather for food and fellowship from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Safe Harbor Community Church, 435 West Stansifer Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana 47129 with a celebration of Steven's life beginning at 6:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Safe Harbor Community Church.
